Gabby Rox of Euphoria Pole & Aerial Studio, as our tour’s guide.
Travel through time over the history of Queen Street as Yesterday Once More: Queen Street enthrals audiences with song and sonic storytelling. A walking tour filled with the stories of people who live(d) on Queen Street – the dhobies, Auntie Cecilia who lived through the Japanese occupation, a young mother who sold noodles come rain or shine, a bride who waited for her groom to turn up, and a seasoned pole dancer – will unfold before your eyes and spark imagination of the years from the 1880s to the present day. The roving theatre performance is accompanied by high-definition audio on the Cinewav mobile app, featuring soundtracks composed by Inch Chua & Tim De Cotta with performances by Euphoria Pole & Aerial Studio, Chowk Productions, Pamela Chong and CJ Bubble Girl.

“You bring your phone and headphones, download the audio narrative… and follow a “neon-lit winged angel” through the streets and as you walk, you listen to the stories of people who used to live in the neighbourhood… It’s an interesting feeling – you are with people yet you are alone in your head with the audio. Communal yet individual.
